Wes Young is the author of two books (Reaching Sol & One Story, Building). His shorter works have appeared in Georgia Outdoor News, The Lamp-Post, The Mythic Circle, and Sanctuary. He teaches literature at Bleckley County High School where he serves as chair of the Language Department. He is a three-time recipient of the Teacher of the Year award and one-time winner of the 2021 District-Wide Teacher of the Year. A member of Limestone Baptist Church, he also preaches (pulpit supply) in the Middle Georgia area and was ordained to the Gospel ministry in 2013. He is a graduate of Bleckley County High School (2005), the University of Georgia (2009), and the Etowah Valley MFA at Reinhardt University (2020). He lives on two acres in the rural backroads of Middle Georgia, along with his beautiful wife (who brings life to life) and his two amazing daughters (who make each day interesting).
